Seasonal sale under a tent for the Leroy Merlin brand

Many large retail chains use Locabri to carry out their seasonal sales or clearance sales under a tent, thereby ensuring an optimal reception area for their customers. Each year a Leroy Merlin store in the Lyonnaise region makes a seasonal sale for its garden section as summer approaches.

WHAT WAS YOUR REQUIREMENT?

Our annual turnover on the garden section is largely achieved during the summer period.

Not having enough sales space dedicated to these seasonal products inside our store, we had to find an alternative as summer approached.

Our choice again focused on the establishment of a temporary building to display all of our products including some bulky items, such as parasols or barbecues.

The installation of a Locabri tent allowed us to ensure this highlight of the season once again this year

What solutions have you considered besides modular solutions?

We had planned to do this seasonal operation inside our store, using the area allocated to the materials, but the customers could have been disoriented. But the important thing is that they found what they were looking for quickly and easily, otherwise we risked them going to the competition, which was what we wanted to avoid.


We could also display the products outside, but the use of a modular structure would still be necessary to house the entire stock of goods, and on rainy days, an outdoor garden space would not have been attractive.

We calculated that without the use of a modular tent we would have an annual turnover loss of 20% on our garden section.

What are the advantages of a temporary tent?

The main advantage of the tent is the comfort of purchase for our customers because it protects them from wind and rain. The use of a floor also ensures the protection of customers and goods.

In addition, we know that once there our customers will also make purchases inside the store. Today we don't have a way to measure it yet, but we are sure that the tent is a big plus for the store's sales.

What convinced you of Locabri?

We appreciated the way we worked together and Locabri's willingness to develop its range to bring maximum comfort to the end customer.

A tent with a transparent cladding was installed in 2017, which had a considerable effect on the sale of our products positioned inside it.

Improvement of Locabri's products then continued in 2018 with the introduction of two highly translucent canvases on our last structure to create another area of product enhancement.

These offerings were very satisfying because they enabled us to enhance our products and ensure attractiveness under all structures thanks to natural lighting.

We were really happy with having a turnkey solution and the responsiveness of the Locabri teams. Our last tent was dismantled in less than a day and the safety rules were perfectly met!

 

What were the reactions of your teams to this tent?

Our seasonal workers had a very positive experience working under a tent. The products were easier to sell and they had space to show the products to customers.

Have you had feedback from your customers?


Today our sale of garden items under a tent is well-known to our customers and our colleagues. We are regularly asked for the date of its opening. It has become a tradition, especially for our regular customers. I think that if we stopped this operation under a tent, there would be a certain reaction from them!

I would say that the tent sale is very pleasant for our customers in terms of comfort because they have space and can see the products in situ.
