Since 1880, the Lyon-based Aguettant family has been serving the health sector by specialising in injectable medecines. Today, the Aguettant Laboratory exports its products to more than 60 countries.

In 2017, 500 people are active and engaged in the service of health in 3 locations :

  • Gerland - Lyon - Head office and production
  • Ardèche - Production site
  • Saint-Fons - Rhône - Logistics platform.

This platform has 11,000 m² of temperature-controlled storage. Approximately 400 to 500 pallets are moved each day, representing 70 tonnes of goods. This large-scale ballet is carried out in strict compliance with the regulations in force in the field of pharmaceutical products.

These drug solutions are stored partly on pallets. The storage warehouse has an ATEX zone and is subject to ICPE regulations. For this reason, it was decided to move the pallets out of the main sotrage aera.

The investment in a traditional building was too restrictive both in terms of regulations and finances, so a temporary solution was chosen. Locabri's modular solutions had already been used in the past during construction periods. The previous uses had been conclusive, which is why Locabri was consulted to provide a simple and scalable solution.

A 200 m² industrial tent with open gables has been installed on the logistics site. This space, designed to accommodate and protect empty pallets from the weather, is avaible for rent.

The « pallet canopy » has been in use for several months now, and the handling teams got used to take the pallets stored outside under the tent in order to pack the goods to be dispatched later on.
