The modular solution for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry

The pharmaceutical and chemical sectors have strict requirements regarding their working environment: temperature control, exposure to light and protection against the elements. These sectors are also subject to numerous standards: GMP, REACH, ISO 15378, ohsas 18001, 21 CFR standard (Food & Drug Administration) or ICH recommendations (International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use).

Meet this level of demand on your new buildings with the modular structure.

Companies in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, such as Imerys and Elkem, have been using Locabri modular warehouses for more than 30 years.

Opportunities and solutions for the use of a temporary construction to manage your flows effectively.

Locabri has evolved with the needs of these sectors and identified three main issues concerning your buildings:

Product temperature control, Packaging protection, Personal safety

In response to your challenges, our Design Office has developed specific products to meet your requirements by designing suitable storage rooms (controlled temperature 15-25°C and economical storage solutions for packaging). Locabri also offers the installation of high-performance and high-quality structures, while reducing your costs.

Our teams are trained in safety regulations and have the necessary qualifications to access the various sites.

Locabri is a member of the Pharmalogistics Club.

Which products are stored in modular buildings?

Packaging products are routinely stored under awnings or in closed warehouses: packages, plastic film, pallets, drums, etc.
Your raw materials and finished products can be stored in clean rooms or a clean warehouse.

    Aguettant Laboratory: pallet storage

Our Lyon hub comprises 11,000 m² of temperature-controlled storage space. Our pharmaceutical solutions are partly stored on pallets in a warehouse that includes an ICPE-regulated area. The decision was taken to remove the pallets from the main storage space.
Investment in traditional construction was too restrictive at a regulatory and financial level. We chose to install a temporary industrial marquee of 200 m² with open gable ends.

    Reorganisation of a production site

« We had to choose a modular structure for administrative reasons; they were easier to manage, and quick to install.

Locabri installed ours in April 2019. It was 15 metres wide, 40 metres long, 6 metres tall, and had one side completely open.

The biggest on-site issue is the weather, the wind, because we store at height. The Locabri team have already made technical adjustments to strengthen resistance.»
